Take Away Hotmeals Program

With the guidance of Fr. Carlos Sierra, St. Brigid's Out of the Cold Program initiated a new ‘Take Away Hot Meals’ program for those in need Thursday, February, 18th, 2021.

The ‘Take Away Hot Meals’ program will run bi-weekly and will be distributed between 3:30 and 4:30 pm at the De Grassi Street door of St Ann's Church. 

For the first couple of weeks, we will also be distributing a personal bag with socks and personal toiletry items that were collected by School Trustee Angela Kennedy from the Toronto Catholic Board of Education, St. Denis Catholic school on Balsam Avenue, and St. Gerald’s on Sheppard Avenue. Our next date of distribution will be on Thursday, March 4th.

Angela Kennedy was supported by a great team of volunteers: her husband Al Kennedy, Trustee Frank D'Amico, Brendan Browne, Director of Education, and the staff at the Catholic Education Centre, Principal Anna Garabotti and the students and staff of St. Gerald’s, Principal Anthony Pauk, and the students and staff of St. Denis Catholic school on Balsam Ave.
