Gospel Reflection for the 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time

The readings today remind us of the importance of humility and how God loves those who are humble of heart. In the Gospel, Jesus tells us that the humble person is one who seats himself at the lowest seat and in doing so he is exalted. As stewards, we are called to live out the virtue of humility in our lives as we share the gifts of our time and talent – keeping our hearts free from pride and remaining focused on our Lord.
