A Message From Fr. Carlos Sierra

Dear Parishioners of St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, I pray that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy during the ongoing pandemic. Know that you have been close in prayer during daily private Mass. We also pray for the sick, those who have been called home to the Lord, and our front-line health care and essential workers.

We would like to thank everyone that took the time to write a letter to our MP through the “Place of Worship” campaign. Following the leadership of our Cardinal and his auxiliary Bishops, their voices as well as ours were heard! More than 13,000 letters were written. A diverse group of faith leaders had the opportunity to meet virtually with Premier Ford, Minister Elliott, and Dr. Williams to discuss the concerns.

We are delighted that we are able to re-open our churches once again. Be assured that we are following the WorshipSafe Health and Safety protocols. Our joy of re-opening churches is measured with the restrictions that will be required. However, returning to sacramental life and gathering as a community is a sustenance essential for our faith community. I joyously welcome you back.

I invite you to consider how you might share your time and talents as a volunteer. The many tasks required for re-opening are significant and we need more volunteers than ever to help. If you would like to volunteer, please contact the Parish office by calling us: (416) 696-8660 or by emailing us at: stbrigid@rogers.com.
