Sacramental Online Preparation

First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion 2020-2021

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We want to share as much of our Catholic faith as possible with your child in a positive & loving environment. Our goal is to help your children to become active, faith-filled Catholics. Guidelines are set to ensure that we are doing everything we can do as a church, to help build up your child in the Catholic faith.

Unfortunately, due to the current health protocols our Catechism program will be provided online.  There will be 12 sessions: 6 for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and 6 for the Sacrament of First Communion. Each session is approximately 1-hour pre-recorded lessons.

We will be using Google Classroom: All lessons will be posted and available on the Sunday’s listed below. Google classroom code will be provided prior to the first lesson via parent emails.

Your child can work on the lessons anytime on the Sunday and complete the instructions given by the Catechists. The lesson will be a mix of videos, worksheets, and journal work.

  • We encourage you to actively share the faith with your child by reviewing the information that is shared at each session. This is a simple way to reinforce what is taught and strengthen the faith for you and your family.
  • We will keep you informed of the events, important dates, and changes to the program by communicating with you via the email addresses that you provided on your child’s registration form.
  • We encourage you to attend Mass regularly with your child, however due to the current restrictions you can view our livestream Mass on Sunday’s @11:00 am on our Facebook account.

We will use prayers as part of our lessons, but we will not be able to focus all our time on teaching the prayers to your children. We ask that you help us teach the basic prayers to your children
